A complete list of everything you must prepare before applying

This checklist summarizes all the documents CLPNNL requires from internationally educated nurses. Having these ready early will help you avoid delays and move through the pathway smoothly.

1 Identity & Personal Documents
✔ Valid passport
✔ Government-issued photo ID
✔ Updated resume or CV
2 Education Documents (for WES ICAP)
✔ Academic transcript requested by your school
✔ Medium of Instruction (MOI) letter confirming English
✔ Course outlines or curriculum (only if WES requests)

Important: These must be sent directly to WES by your training institution.

3 Nursing Registration Documents
✔ CLPNNL Verification of Licensure (VOR) form completed by your nursing council
✔ No disciplinary issues on record
✔ Proof of active or past licensure

Important: Your regulator must email AND courier this directly to CLPNNL.

4 Practice & Employment Evidence
✔
Employer verification letter(s) including:
• Job title
• Practice hours
• Responsibilities
• Employment dates
• Supervisor’s signature and contact details
✔ Any additional certificates from your nursing roles
5 Skills & Certification
✔ Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
✔ Any specialty courses you completed (optional, but helpful)
6 Exam & Registration Documents
✔ Government-issued ID for exam day
✔ Clean private room for online proctoring
✔ Guardian Browser installed for the CPNRE
7 Final Registration Documents (After Passing the Exam)
✔ Police certificate (must be recent — obtain after passing)
✔ Registration payment
✔ Updated personal details (if requested)
